Alessandro's culinary adventure began in Lombardy, where he nurtured his culinary talents. He then embarked on a remarkable journey, working in prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants in France and Italy, honing his craft and mastering gourmet excellence.
In 2003, he brought his culinary brilliance to Sydney as the Executive Chef at the renowned Park Hyatt. His innovative cuisine earned him recognition and acclaim.
In 2009, Alessandro realized his dream by opening Ormeggio at The Spit. This waterfront gem quickly earned two coveted Chef's Hats and maintained its hatted status since inception, becoming a culinary institution.
In 2014, Chiosco by Ormeggio was born, offering a taste of the Italian Riviera in Sydney's marina, a beloved spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In late 2020, Alessandro unveiled a'Mare, a classic Italian fine-dining restaurant at Crown Sydney. It pays homage to Italy's culinary traditions with elegant service and nostalgic classics.
Alessandro thrives on running multiple venues, earning him the 2021 Restaurant and Catering Association NSW Restaurateur of the Year award.
He also authored "A Lombardian Cookbook," sharing the flavors and timeless recipes of Lombardy with the world.
