The venue serves Italian bar food in a relaxed style overlooking spectacular Freshwater Beach. The wine list is all-Italian, all by the glass with a focus on the region of Sardinian wine. The Baretto also serves great classic cocktails – including the Pilu Negroni and a selection of spritzes, Sardinian and local beers.
The contemporary menu changes daily and consists mostly of small dishes with amplified flavours, designed to consume with a drink in hand. Mainstays include cured meats and cheeses, antipasti and calamari fritti. There will always be a number of substantial meat and pasta dishes, all served alongside a succinct wine list of mostly Italian varietals. By day, the breakfast and lunch menus focus on lighter dishes: egg and pancetta rolls, freshly baked cakes and muffins, panini, salads and of course, great espresso.
