Are you passionate about Italian cuisine and culture? Are you an absolute maestro behind the bar and can create a delicious inventive signature cocktail bar menu?  

Join us at Vineria Luisa in Enmore, where we're looking for an Assistant Bar Manager to join our opening team for our traditional Italian neighbourhood ginoteria with a 70 seat capacity. 

 

As part of opening team, you will work with the senior management team to help bring Vineria Luisa to life from the ground up. We value personality, Italianity, and passion in our team members, so if you have prior experience with Italian cuisine and are ready to showcase your hospitable, charismatic, and neighbourhood-loving personality, we want to hear from you! 

 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) 
  • Current RSA Certificate 
  • Full Australian working rights 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in bars/restaurants, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role 
  • Excellent cocktail and overall beverage knowledge 
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills 
  • Confident and professional communication (in person and over the phone) 
  • Computer literacy and understanding of POS/bar systems 
  • Familiarity with hospitality cost controls 
  • Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail 
  • Well-presented with high grooming standards 
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays 

 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Formal hospitality studies completed  
  • Speak Italian? Bonus!  
  • Prior venue opening experience 

 

Your tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Delivering smooth, consistent and high-quality bar service 
  • Creating and updating seasonal cocktail and beverage menus 
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and managing GP targets 
  • Leading, training, and managing bar team performance 
  • Supporting the Bar Manager and collaborating with the floor and kitchen teams

Vineria Luisa is set to open mid-2025. We’re seeking someone who can start immediately, with training provided in one of our existing venues to ensure you’re confident with our systems, service standards, and team culture before launch.
