We are looking forward to building a strong and passionate, hospitality team for our newest venture, Cibaria Manly, which will be a 350-seater that will cater for a la carte, group bookings and private events. With our premium and convenient location, situated opposite Manly Beach coupled with an amazing menu of Italian comfort foods, and top-notch hospitality service, Cibaria will fast become a locals favourite haunt.
We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help with the opening processes and provide support to our Restaurant Manager. As part of opening team, you will work with the senior management team to help bring Cibaria, Manly to life from the ground up.
We value personality, and all members of our team, so if you have prior experience with Italian cuisine and are ready to showcase your hospitable, charismatic, and neighbourhood-loving personality, we want to hear from you!
Essential Requirements:
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Hold a current RSA Certificate
- Full Australian working rights
- Computer literacy is a must
- Minimum 2 years in managerial role
- Great memory for faces and ability to engage customers and staff and build excellent rapport
- Italian food & wine knowledge
- Formal hospitality studies completed
- Polite personal manner, both face to face and over the phone
- Ability to multi-task
- Understanding of hospitality cost control measures
- Ability to keep cool under pressure
- Strong team leading skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent grooming standards
- Hours can vary and include weekend and holiday work
Preferred Requirements:
- Formal wine studies completed
- Experience with SevenRooms or other online reservations platform
- Speak Italian? Bonus!
- Prior venue opening experience

- Shift management
- Ensuring the smooth and consistent delivery of service
- Delivery of daily staff briefings prior to every service
- Writing daily shift reports
