Assistant Restaurant Manager

Chiosco by Ormeggio is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead service at this vibrant, waterfront trattoria. This role involves supporting daily operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations and service flow.
  • Support staff training and development to uphold service standards.
  • Oversee reservations, guest interactions, and ensure seamless service.
  • Contribute to cost control measures and assist with operational reporting.


What You’ll Need:

  • At least two years of experience in a leadership role within an Italian restaurant.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) with excellent communication skills.
  • Current NSW RSA Certificate and full Australian working rights.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
  • A hands-on approach with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Italian language skills are a plus.
  • Experience with reservation platforms like SevenRooms.
  • Formal hospitality training and strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine.
