Catalina Rose Bay, renowned for its exquisite gastronomy and breathtaking Sydney Harbour vistas, is in search of a Chef to join their award winning establishment.

The Chef role inlcudes the following responsibilities:

  • Preparation and cooking for both a la carte and function dining.
  • Rotating through all sections of the kitchen - hot entrée, meat, cold entrée and fish sections, as required.
  • Implementation of Executive Chef’s and Head Chef’s new menu items.
  • Quality control of dishes.
  • Being responsible for stock control of both fresh and dry store items.
  • Stock control of dry goods and Chemical supplies if required.
  • Acquisition of Occupational Health and Safety training skills, specifically a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Acquisition of Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, as required by NSW law.

To be considered for this position, the applicant must have relevant Diploma qualifications. A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Chef in a fine dining commercial kitchen is required. The applicant must have sufficient training and experience to be able to work independently, run a busy section when required, and to rotate throughout the kitchen when required.

The successful applicant needs to be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
