About the Role:
As the Assistant Head Sommelier, you will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the training of our wine team, and providing support to our head sommelier to curate our wine program, driving sales, and delivering a world-class guest experience. You’ll work closely with our chefs, beverage team, and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless and memorable dining experience.
Successful candidates must have:
• Australian working rights
• Current NSW RSA certificate
• Knowledge of wine and food pairing; with focus on Italian, French, and Australian wines
• Understanding of COGS
• Fluent spoken English
• Completed WSET Level 2 minimum
• Ability to create tasteful food & wine pairings
• Two years experience in a similar role
• A positive attitude to customer service and teamwork!
