Purpose of the Role

We seek a diligent and dedicated Store Manager; a character who will bring diligence and purpose to the management role at our flagship Aesop Sydney space. This position is full-time with working days from Tuesday to Saturday.

You will be responsible for budgeting, store-specific marketing, and building the flagship's client base, as well as choreographing the daily activities of a large team of 30 employees, consisting of 3 Assistant Store Managers, a Back of House Coordinator and a team of Retail Consultants. The successful candidate will be a skilled professional and be able to grace this role with passion and élan.

The successful candidate will possess a high standard of organisation, time management and commercial capability. They will be responsible for motivating, coaching and, in turn, the performance and development of their staff. An ability to create a unique Aesop experience with core customers will be important, along with creating key relationships with stakeholders and neighbouring businesses. 

What We Are Looking For

  • Leader, motivator and overall inspiring individual
  • Experience in the retail sector as a manager of a large format store environment; Minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • Strong people management skills in relation to team development, recruitment, change management and driving excellence in performance
  • The confidence to sell products requiring specialist knowledge; A willingness to embrace demonstration-based sales techniques; A demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Commercial acumen as well as time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to converse warmly and effortlessly with customers.
  • Computer literacy encompassing strong familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • A strong desire to learn and challenge themselves within this position and lead by example through change.
