Shoes, glorious shoes. Some could argue they’re the most important part of an outfit and we aren’t here to disagree. From sandals to sneakers, heels to flats, brogues to loafers and thongs to boots, we’ve never met a shoe we didn’t like.
If you’re looking to update your shoe-drobe or simply after the latest coveted footwear, we’ve compiled a list of our favourite shoe stores in Sydney worth checking out. You can thank us later.
A luxury store in the heart of Sydney that provides its customers with an experience like no other. A trip to Sneakerboy will see you walking in empty-handed and leaving empty-handed. Instead of buying straight off the racks, the store allows customers to try on sneakers from a selection of high-end brands like Alexander McQueen, Yeezy, Off White, Maison Margiela, Golden Goose and Acne Studios (the list goes on, trust us!), and purchasing the shoes online with in-store iPads. Within a few days, the shoes arrive at your door and your shopping experience at Sneakerboy is complete, until the next time.

Did you know that Havaianas aren’t actually Australian? They were created in Brazil in 1962 and inspired by the Japanese Zori sandal. The name means “Hawaiians” in Portuguese in honour of the glamorous holiday destination with an endless summer. We’re not sure when the term ‘thongs’ was adopted instead of flip-flops but we can guarantee every Australian will think of Havaianas when you mention the style of shoe. Worn on just about every occasion, Havaianas have found themselves on fashion runways in New York and Paris, collaborating with Disney, and most importantly on the feet of humble Aussies heading to the beach (or just about anywhere!).
